Not very hungry

Dear KFBers, has your appetite diminished considerably with the heat?
I feel like I only want to have very small portions, no bread, no cooking!

I need new recipes to prepare carbs that taste fresh and cold. Do you have a fresh way to eat carbs for breakfast?

About the wide angle stretch: The extreme heat may have helped me widen the angle but it also made the minutes last forever. I'm considering sitting on a folded blanket while doing this stretch to see if my back does't bent forward in a C.

I hope you enjoy the day and stay hydrated.

  1. YES! YES! and YES! I had a good idea for veggie carbs the other day, but it escaped me. I end up doing a lot of toast with cold chopped salads on top or spread some avocado and add fresh tomato slices.

I usually sit on a pillow for my bend. It helps some, but my back still often ends up hurting toward the end.

    Have a lovely weekend!

  2. Oh, I remember! Cold Israeli couscous struck me as though it might be good for breakfast. It's big enough that it's sort of like eating cold cereal, and the taste is light and refreshing.

  4. Quinoa and milk

Boil 1 1/2 cups water, add 3/4 cup quinoa (or any 2:1 ratio). Cover the pan Lower heat to simmer. Cook for 10 minutes. Take off of the stove and crack the lid to the pan. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Fluff up with a fork.

I keep the quinoa in the refrigerator and weigh out the portions in the morning. It will last a few mornings.

I like to just add milk. Quinoa and milk. Its like fresh cereal. You can also add a drop of vanilla and a dash of cinnamon.

    ....thats my fave

You can also do that with barley, spelt, rye...

to cook those just add water to an inch above the grains and boil, drain the water like pasta

    or yogurt instead of milk
